How to use

The Cut Sheet tool splits one PNG (or JPG/WebP) spritesheet into individual animation frames — entirely in your browser. Use it on sheets from Spine Preview, TexturePacker, Aseprite, or any uniform grid layout.

Auto grid mode (recommended)

  1. Upload your spritesheet via drag-and-drop or file picker.
  2. Keep Auto grid selected. Set Cols and Rows (e.g. 4×4 for 16 frames).
  3. Set Cell W and Cell H to each frame cell size in pixels.
  4. Adjust Off X/Y if the grid does not start at top-left.
  5. Set Gap X/Y for spacing between cells — Spine Preview exports use gap 2.
  6. Max limits frames extracted; 0 = all cells. Click Apply grid.

Manual strip mode

  1. Select Manual for a single row or column of equal-sized frames.
  2. Enter W, H, start X/Y, Count, and Horizontal or Vertical direction.
  3. Click Apply grid to preview slices on the canvas.

Export and next steps

  1. Export frames (PNG) — download each frame separately.
  2. Open Animate — send frames to Animation Preview.
  3. Open Metadata — send coordinates to Metadata for JSON/XML.

FAQ

Slices misaligned?
Verify cell W/H, offset, and gap. Adjust one pixel at a time. Auto grid assumes a regular rectangle.
Uneven frame sizes?
Use JSON metadata from Spine or TexturePacker instead of uniform grid cutting.
Are files uploaded?
No. All slicing happens locally in your browser.
