Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Spine Preview at spinepreview.com (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Spine Preview is a free, browser-based tool to preview Spine 3.8–4.3 skeleton exports and export frames or spritesheets locally. The Service is provided “as is” for creative and development workflows. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time without notice.

2. Eligibility

You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use the Service. You are responsible for compliance with local laws regarding online tools and exported content.

3. Your content and Spine assets

You retain all rights to the files you import. You represent that you have the right to use, preview, and export that content. Spine is a trademark of Esoteric Software; this Service is not affiliated with or endorsed by Esoteric Software. You must comply with Esoteric’s license terms for Spine Editor and runtime use.

Do not upload or process content that is illegal, infringing, malware, or that violates others’ rights. Because processing is local, you are solely responsible for what you load into the viewer.

Optional links (PayPal, Ko-fi, Telegram) lead to third-party sites governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for transactions or communications on those platforms.

6. Intellectual property

The Spine Preview name, branding, site design, and original code (excluding open-source libraries listed in the project) are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy our branding or imply endorsement without written permission. Open-source components remain under their respective licenses.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT PREVIEW OR EXPORT WILL BE ERROR-FREE, COMPATIBLE WITH EVERY SPINE EXPORT, OR SUITABLE FOR PRODUCTION USE WITHOUT YOUR OWN TESTING.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

You will defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or third-party rights.

Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain how we handle information. They are incorporated into these Terms by reference.

11. Termination

We may restrict access to the Service if we believe you violated these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by nature should survive (disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, governing law) will survive termination.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the operator’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country apply.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be indicated by updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
